Life's Good

So how would you go about rebranding and redefining and iconic company, which has dished out some cutting-edge innovations over the years? If you the likes of Tim Escolin, Spencer Davis and Xinyi Wang, then this is probably what you will do: design a whole new range of tech products and try and make it as top-notch as the original, if not better. Say hello to The Define Mobile Phone, Lift Protective Tabs for the phone, Boom dock, Aux dongle and Snap Camera. All packaged in one sleek look!

Bubble Touch!

Transitioning from a BlackBerry to an iPhone or any other touchscreen phone has you craving for the soothing comfort of the bubbled keypad. I had a hard time getting used to the silky feel of a virtual pad but now that I am accustomed to it, an alternative like the Bubble Phone concept has a great appeal. Imagine getting best of both the worlds; touchscreen on one side and raised keypad for the addicts. Good going!

DeskSpace

The DeckSpace Phone is more of a prototyping experiment focused on designing a phone with a new user experience. I love the iconic way it deals with the numerous apps and the makes them approachable yet distinct from the standard iOS style. Like the designer puts it, “DeckSpace offers a new method for organizing apps on an operating system.” I guess I agree.

Lean On Me

The ‘Lean to my side’ is a conceptual smartphone based more on form. It takes inspiration from the need of people to lean on each other for support. The asymmetric form and curve is on purpose but brings home the use of latest tech possibilities. As a result you have a phone that can expand its display and yet take advantage of a compact form.

Easy Sketchbook

The Easy Sketch is a transparent drawing pad, which allows you to trace and sketch views during your outdoor trip. You don’t need to be the best of artists but just have the knack of thinking imaginatively. The pad is capable of combining different views into one painting, and incorporates color and brushworks. A good and engaging alternative to the digicam!

E-Ink Simple Smartphone

Designed for the modern bookworm, the Booklet merges the functionalities of both an e-reader and smartphone into a single device that essentially makes it possible to take calls in between lines! Whether you’re diving into emails, documents, or your favorite book, reading is made easier on the larger screen with bold text that won’t tire your eyes. What it lacks in apps it makes up for in simplicity, ease-of-use, and a friendly, flexible aesthetic.

iClick Good Pictures With iCamera

Amidst many iWatch and iPhone 5S / iPhone 6 rumors, we have here the iCamera Concept. A total figment of creative imagination that sparks a debate amongst Apple Fanboys and girls! Straightforward and intuitive, I like what I see and think of it as a well inspired idea. What do you think?

Apple iPhone 6, Really!

The new Apple commercial has drawn a lot of flack for its insensitive portrayal of interaction between people and its products. For a twisted moment, the focus has shifted from the human experience to the gadget experience. The disconnect of emotions is creepy and alarming! Close on heels is the news that a new iPhone may be out in September, so till that
time let’s absorb this new take on the Jesus-phone! Apple iPhone 6, Really!

Another Nokia Phablet

It’s raining Nokia concepts these day, and it only makes me happy! The good thing about this Nokia Lumia 1025 Phablet is that it is designed based on the leaks and plausible rumours. This concept features a 6 inch screen (1920 x 1152px – 15:9), is 8mm thin and with much horse power!

Plumage Concept Windows Phone

Plumage is a concept windows phone designed by Jet Ong.It will break your iPhone addiction
The only way to break your iPhone addiction is lean towards gadgets that don’t disappoint! For example the Plumage Concept Phone is a good way to wean you off the apple and enrich your mindscape with something more innovative. Love the ideation and the sleek design, and of course the built-in protective cover / keyboard! Slick!
